In this course, the basics of the most important components in industrial automation technology are presented and discussed as examples. It deals with the following questions and uses examples to explain how it works: What is a PLC? HMI, switchboard? SCADA system? Bus systems such as Profibus and Profinet? Industrial networks? Inverter? Servo technology? Robotics? or what is behind SIL 1, 2, 3 and 4.
