Siemens limit switches and safety switches
SIRIUS 3SE5/ 3SE6 limit and safety switches provide accurate detection of moving parts around machines and plants in almost any application. Whether they are used to detect positions, restrict the movement of specific machine parts, monitor the position of movable safety systems or are included in safety functions according to EN ISO 14119 - our mechanical and non-contact switches are widely applicable and functional even under the harshest conditions.
For standard and failsafe application
SIRIUS 3SE5 limit switches can be used everywhere in the same design. This applies wherever requirements apply from machine safety for personal safety and for failsafe applications. They guarantee reliable detection up to SIL 3 (EN 62061) / PL e (EN ISO 13849-1). On versions with ASIsafe functionality, the slave is fully integrated into the housing. This saves you costs and space in the machine or control cabinet as no additional components are required.
Reliable detection
SIRIUS limit, safety, pull-cord, pedal switches detect movements with precision in the system or for mounting on movable protective covers (covers, doors, etc.) in virtually any application.
SIRIUS 3SE5 mechanical limit switches have a standardised design with modular construction and universally mountable control heads. This makes putting together the right switch easy for you. The choice of limit switch versions is huge and leaves nothing to be desired. Installation, wiring and exchange can be done extremely quickly. All versions are suitable for both standard and safety applications.
Manipulation protection and locking function
For increased manipulation protection, the SIRIUS 3SE5 series offers a safety switch with separate 3D-coded actuation key. This special actuation key allows 1 switch to be used up to SIL 2 (EN 62061) / PL d (EN ISO 13849-1). Control keys are available separately in various shapes and materials. From the non-contact 3SE6 safety switches, we offer reliable RFID coded versions for increased protection against interference and manipulation. This already gives them the highest safety level, SIL 3 /PLe.
We also have versions of fence switches with an interlock function available in both mechanical (3SE5) and non-contact (3SE6) variants.
Signal processing
After detection using the SIRIUS 3SE5/ 3SE6 limit or safety switch, the safety system processes the signal, this can be done, for example, with SIRIUS 3SK safety relays or with a SIMATIC S7 failsafe controller.

Siemens - SINAMICS G220 variable speed drive now also in IP55Read moreIn addition to the previously released IP20 variant of the SINAMICS G220 variable speed drive, the IP55 version of this innovative drive is now also available. This version comes standard with coated circuit boards that make the inverter resistant even outside the control cabinet to aggressive influences in a harsh industrial environment. As an option, a housing-mounted isolating switch can also be supplied to ensure safe disconnection of voltage without any other external components.

Bright Renewables - From Webinar to an Actual Predictive Maintenance ProjectRead moreUnder the header “FastForward”, itsme supports product improvement and process acceleration, including by informing customers about time-saving solutions and smart technologies. For example, in spring 2023, a webinar on predictive maintenance was organised in collaboration with KIM Plus Delta, consultants for asset and maintenance management. Bright Renewables’ participation resulted in an actual predictive maintenance project for Bright's green gas plants.

Signaal 64 - Boon Edam - Toegang tot VMI en een groot assortimentRead moreBoon Edam, known for its revolving doors and turnstiles, picked itsme as their main electrical components supplier last year. The large product range and the vendor managed inventory (VMI) solution for the grab stock of electrical assembly materials were the deciding factors. “When you install VMI, you actually do it forever.”

Sissing Noord - Commissioning FrequencyRead moreSissing Noord in Leek (Groningen) is an expert in the maintenance, renovation and construction of “wet” infrastructure, like movable bridges, pumping stations and locks. For the drives of these structures, itsme supplies the speed drives and, where necessary, also the technical know-how. For projects where Sissing Noord needs this knowledge, specialist itsme offers “some relief”.

Connected Business - Vendor Managed InventoryRead moreThe Lean improvement method distinguishes eight waste categories. One of these is 'inventory'. Too much stock is not good, but neither is too little. After all, having stock also provides the safe feeling of availability in times of uncertain internal planning and external factors that cannot be directly influenced. Because optimising availability both in one's own company and in the supply chain is often not the core competence of our customers, itsme can take over the care of such optimisation, for example through the import and management of so-called Vendor Managed Inventory systems. But, how do you know whether VMI is indeed the right solution? Ralph van Aartsen can answer that crucial question - using five questions. Here, in advance, are his answers to our questions on VMI.
