IMI Norgren’s Excelon® Plus range is the latest version of the widely used Excelon® range; with improved performance, size and weight savings and a more competitive price point.

Spotlight on Maintenance

  • Polycarbonate bowls that are crazed, cracked or in service for over ten years need to be replaced.
  • Every 1 bar of unnecessary pressure above the optimum operating pressure leads to a 7% increase in energy costs.
  • Blocked filters lower compressed air efficiency and air flow leading to increased energy costs – it is recommended to replace filter elements every 12 months.

Spotlight on Safety

  • As soon as air is pressurised it has the potential to cause damage to equipment or personnel, so controlling that pressure using shut-off valves and regulators, which can be fixed and locked, is paramount.
  • Containing the air in the reservoirs for air treatment also needs to be done safely.
  • Correct assembly of the filters and lubricators after service is also paramount as a loose bowl can be very dangerous even at the lowest pressures.
  • Safety should be the first consideration when designing compressed air systems.

    Festo - SFAM
Because the SFAM is a pressure and flow sensor in one, machines need only one component to measure multiple values. By measuring compressed air pressure, flow and consumption, among other things, the SFAM provides full insight into the compressed air system. This insight is the first step in a more economical, safe and sustainable system.

Avebe - A Good Night’s Sleep Thanks to FactoryScan
Companies often have no clear idea of the installed base of industrial automation in their factories and warehouses. With FactoryScan, itsme can provide an overview of the current status of automation components such as PLCs. Potato processor Royal Avebe uses the results to update their component stock and assess future availability. The scan is intended to reduce the number of hardware-related disruptions Process Control Engineer Johan Wierenga has to deal with. It also helps him sleep better, knowing the stock is up to date.
