Eaton has enhanced the successful easyE4 control relay to make it even more versatile and secure

To expand the wide range of possible applications and meet the need for enhanced cybersecurity, Eaton has significantly expanded the capabilities of the easyE4 control relay. These range from faster Ethernet communication to additional memory and encrypted data transfer, making the implementation of control tasks both more secure and user-friendly. New features include, for example, a controller with integrated Ethernet MAC (media access control), as well as more memory.

New root certificate

A new root certificate ensures more secure connections between the easyE4's web server and the user's browser, as well as a new version (V2) of the easyProtocol. Thanks to SSL/TLS encryption, data can be transferred securely without unauthorized access.

Memory upgrade

Eaton has increased program memory by a factor of three to 128 kB.

Function block upgrade

User function blocks are now accessible via an archive folder for easy reuse in other projects and can be opened in simulation mode for status indication.

Datalogger upgrade

Easier access to log files. This can now be done in RUN state. Data can now be viewed via the integrated web server (and thus the company's own network) - even without an easySoft license.

Extension module upgrade

The same extension can now be managed through a single program, even if an application contains several machines of different sizes, with different numbers of extension modules, for example.

New hardware and software versions

These latest features are available starting with hardware version HW08. The HW number can be found on the left side of the easyE4. This version requires the easysoft V8. You can download this for free in our software center. If you already have easySoft V7 you can use the same license for easySoft V8.

    Danfoss - Condition-based Monitoring
Danfoss's intelligent AC drives provide early warning of downtime by collecting, evaluating and storing data from sensors. Results are made available in the cloud or locally, for predictive maintenance. This improves performance, efficiency and uptime, extends component life and reduces complexity. Installation is simple: the controller learns automatically or the user performs an identification run.
