itsme again finalist at DISCA awards
itsme has reached the finals of the 21st Dutch Industrial Suppliers & Customer Awards. On 23 November last, representatives of the Dutch manufacturing industry gathered at Boerderij Mereveld to weigh the pros and cons of the finalists. In the Best Parts & Process Supplier category, in which itsme once again competed, the award went to 247TailorSteel from Varsseveld. MULTIFIX Group from Bergeijk finished second. We congratulate these companies - and also the other finalists - with this great result.
'Trust in the chain' was the theme of this year's DISCA awards, organised annually by Link Magazine. As a result of the corona crisis and subsequent logistics challenges, some links between companies have been severed. But the real partnerships have mostly become closer. Trust is the key word here. True partners take giant steps by showing openness and vulnerability. Honest and sincere communication, good forecasting and personal contact are the key ingredients of a close partnership. Because companies are nominated by customers and suppliers, each nomination can be seen as a vote of confidence in the chain.
369 nominations
A total of 369 companies were nominated for a DISCA this year. (Last year there were 307.) 174 OEMs and suppliers were nominated in the Best Parts & Process Supplier category. Of these, 51 went through to the second round. In it, a jury selected five companies for the grand final. The audience present in the room had the last word and chose 247TailorSteel. This year's Best Knowledge Supplier award went to Apparatenfabriek ARA from Aalten. Microsure from Son received the Best Customer award.
Jury report
Once again this year, itsme received a good jury report. itsme:
- has really mastered the sourcing of a wide range of electronic and electromechanical components and modules
- unburdens the customer by taking over the interaction with manufacturers
- its employees know what is going on in the market and with the customer
- can switch quickly
- has far surpassed the term 'box shop'
- can further optimise the logistics process
- is transparent in its cost structure
- has delivery reliability of 98%.
Special series
With this place in the final, itsme has set a special series in the Best Parts & Process category of the leading event. Four years in a row, itsme finished among the five highest rated companies. We are proud of this year's result, but perhaps even more so of the sustainability of the high level we strive for. We would like to thank everyone who made the consistency of this great compliment possible: our employees, our partners and suppliers, Link Magazine, the jury and, of course, our customers.
Resolution for 2024
Naturally, itsme is determined to be worthy of the confidence shown in the coming year as well and add another highlight to the DISCA series!
